6U / T-Ball

This division is where the fun really begins.

The 6U division is for our 4, 5 and 6 year olds (born 2016-18), teaching the girls the fundamentals of softball in a fun learning environment while playing together with their friends.

Girls aged seven with no prior softball experience can also play in this division. Girls are placed on teams together with their schoolmates to encourage friendship and camaraderie.

The playing rules are relaxed to encourage full participation. The 6U division is like T-ball but with an opportunity to hit a coach-pitched ball. This division uses the 10" RIF (reduced injury factor) softball.

The 6U season will begin in February 2023.

They begin to learn the game!

  • How to catch the ball.
  • How to throw the ball.

  • How and when to run.
  • Where to make the correct defensive play.
  • How to play as a team.

Everybody Plays!

  • Every girl plays in every game.
  • No-one sits on the bench: Every girl plays in the field when her team is playing defense.
  • Every girl bats in every inning.
  • The girls have an opportunity to hit coach-pitch but after three pitches, players will hit off the tee.
  • There are no strike-outs.
  • There are no walks.

No-pressure Atmosphere!
